Please read these terms carefully before booking a tour with Ocean Express Travel & Tours.
Last updated: 1 January 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your booking with Ocean Express Travel & Tours ("Ocean Express", "we", "us", "our"). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms. Ocean Express Travel & Tours is a registered company in England and Wales.
A binding contract exists between you and Ocean Express once we have received your deposit (or full payment where applicable) and issued a booking confirmation. The lead passenger (the person making the booking) accepts these terms on behalf of all members of the travelling party.
A non-refundable deposit of £299 per person is required to secure your booking. Your place is not confirmed until this deposit is received and acknowledged by Ocean Express.
The balance of your holiday cost is due no later than 10 weeks (70 days) before your departure date. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in your booking being cancelled, and cancellation charges will apply.
Once your booking is confirmed and your deposit paid, the price of your holiday is guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharge, except in the case of government-imposed taxes or changes to transportation costs.
All cancellations must be made in writing to info@oceanexpresstours.co.uk. Cancellation charges are calculated from the date we receive your written notice:
We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation costs.
We reserve the right to cancel or alter your tour due to insufficient numbers, force majeure (including natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest), or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will offer you a full refund, an alternative date, or a comparable alternative holiday.
Comprehensive travel insurance is a mandatory condition of booking. You must ensure your policy covers: medical expenses and repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, personal liability, lost or stolen baggage, and travel delays. Ocean Express reserves the right to refuse travel to any guest who cannot provide evidence of adequate insurance cover.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all travel documents (passport, visas, ETIAS authorisation) are valid and in order for the entire duration of your holiday. Ocean Express accepts no responsibility for any costs or losses incurred as a result of incomplete or incorrect documentation.
We expect all guests to behave in a manner that does not cause distress, danger or upset to fellow travellers, Ocean Express staff, hotel personnel or local residents. Ocean Express reserves the right to remove any guest from a tour if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, without compensation or refund.
Ocean Express Travel & Tours is ATOL protected. Our ATOL number is [XXXXX]. When you buy an ATOL protected holiday from us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. We are also members of ABTA (membership number [XXXXX]), which means you benefit from ABTA's scheme of financial protection and service standards.
Ocean Express accepts liability for the services we directly provide. We do not accept liability for the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers (including airlines, hotels, local transport providers) beyond our reasonable control. Our liability to you shall not exceed the total price you paid for your holiday.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
